Please note in your diaries:
1. The late summer music night 8th September, following the Rackethon from 1.30 to around 6.00. We have music in an open mic slot headlined by our resident minstrel Dougal and supported by club members with guitars including Dean Farrant,Frazer Burns, Robert Ormsby, Richard Stanley and Mike King
Local band Tres Kings will then be playing from around 9.00. Many of you will have seen the band advertised at the club. They will be playing a mix of sing along and standards. Its also Russ' birthday weekend so please come along and give him a cheer.
2. 29th September is the date we will be hosting the CAF Ceramics doubles, organised by Joe Magor from Canterbury. This doubles has proven very popular in the past so please get your entries in by visiting the website at Canterbury Squash Club. The bar will be open and Annabel, our own Mary Berry in the making will be in the kitchen
3. Dave Ealham will be quizmaster again 13th October. His quizzes are always popular and a notice will on the board soon. Put a note in your diaries for the usual fun and games. Teams of 6 please, a supper from Big Ben included in the entry fee.
4. This years AGM will be held Friday 19th October at 8pm, preceded this year by an EGM at 7.55. As always there will be half price beer from 7.55 onward. Please do come along and have your say in how your club is run.
5. Finally, the winter team season will start next month. All those interested in playing please let Jason Goodayle or Alastair Hill know as soon as you can.
