Court Heating

Many will have noticed the buttons outside each court which have been fitted to provide local control for the heating. Until now court heating worked on a central time clock and the heaters were often on when the courts were not in use with the club incurring unnecessary energy costs.
The thermostats have been set at 21°C and caged to stop individuals changing this setting. We will monitor this and adjust if required once the colder weather sets in.
These timers are set for 50 minutes and if members are playing in the winter and the court has not been in use immediately before it may be sensible to activate the timer when you arrive and before you get changed to play.
Instructions will be put up by each of the timer switches as below. There is no need to press the button if court heating is not required.

TO TURN HEATING ON:

Thermostat is set to 21C.

If heating is required, press the blue illuminated timer button located next to the coin meter.
A red LED on the button will light up.
If the court temperature is below 21C the heater will come on, for a maximum of 50 minutes, or until the temperature is reached.
If the button is pressed again, the 50 minute timer is reset.
During the 50th minute, the red LED will flash continuously.

TO TURN HEATING OFF:

Press and hold the button until the red LED flashes continuously.
Heating will switch off after 1 minute.
The button will then be illuminated blue to indicate stand-by mode.

DO NOT INTERFERE WITH THE COURT HEATING THERMOSTATS

Thank You
