The recent announcement by the government to allow the re-opening of indoor sports from Saturday 25th July was welcome news but that in itself does not give squash a free pass to returning to normal. The specific guidance on safe return has been left to the governing body and for us that is England Squash. This guidance was only released on Tuesday 14th July.
The Committee are currently digesting this guidance as well as following guidance from Kent Squash, and we are planning to meet on Sunday 19th July to discuss our options and map out how we propose a safe return for all members.
We are conscious that everyone is keen to get back on court and get back to normal, but please be mindful that there are considerable restrictions as to what is possible. If you haven’t already seen these guidelines, please do have a look at the following link to the England Squash website.
