Squash is finally back!

As expected, England Squash have finally updated their guidelines following Sport England confirming that squash clubs can reintroduce full court squash for adults and juniors. The guidelines (on England Squash website) now allow the following from Monday 17th May:

- Players can get on court with multiple households and play full court squash (squash bubbles and modified versions not required). The maximum number of players on court allowed are 4 adults or children.
- Coach-led sessions can take place in any number (within the maximum venue capacity limit) but the maximum number of players on court allowed is 4 adults or 6 children. Coaches are allowed on court and are not included in the total number of players on court.
- Coaches can provide Out-of-School Setting activities to all children (6 max per court), with no restrictions on the total number in attendance.
- Spectators are allowed to return, but must observe maximum of six people or two households as well as social distancing rules and wear face coverings.
- Indoor bar areas are allowed to open, and must follow the current UK Government guidance ie. maximum of six people or two households, and remaining seated. As previously shared, the bar will be open from next Monday.

There is still a need to do track and trace so please continue to sign in/out or use the NHS Track & Trace app using the QR code at the door.

The courts will still be coin/token operated with the 65minute booking slots remaining for now. Please pre-book all court bookings and log all members due to play. We will be looking at the guidance in more detail in due course and see if we can bring the court booking timings back to what they were previously.

The changing rooms and showers will also be open from Monday, but be mindful of social distancing guidelines and numbers using the facilities at any one time.

It's been a long time since we were at this point and the Committee are delighted to be able to welcome back all of our members!

Enjoy!
