Coronavirus Risk

The Club is taking the ongoing Coronavirus threat seriously and we are keeping a close eye on the latest Government advice to ensure we protect our members and visitors as best as possible.

We would ask that any member who has recently returned from overseas travel to follow the Government advice as detailed on their website with respect to any visits to the club https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public.

At present, we are unable to provide additional hand sanitisation due to the lack of supplies, so we would advise members to undertake good regular hand washing practises to reduce the risks for you and other members. We will endeavour to ensure all high contact areas in the bar area are cleaned on a more frequent basis during the current higher risk period.

There has been growing press coverage about some sports organisations banning handshakes as a means of reducing the risk of infection. At present, there is no such advice from Government authorities to stop this, however as it is in everyone’s interest to reduce the risk of infection, we would ask members to respect the wishes of anyone who may not prefer to offer the customary end of game hand shake.

We will continue to monitor the situation and advise if there is any change in the Government advice that impacts on the Club.

Thanks
The Committee
